I was a journalist and copywriter in London before I quit, moved to Indonesia and started freelancing properly.
Month one, I made £100.
I grew my freelance writing business to six figures while living in Bali, and then maintained my five-figure months while travelling the world. Then I whittled it down to three days a week, and used the two days I'd freed up to launch my coaching business.
Since then, I've refined both. My writing work now comes as retainers (brilliant for batching and saving time), and I've added to my coaching business one piece at a time, including one-to-one coaching, then group coaching, then a membership, then retreats, then digital products. Each time, I used the time I'd already freed up to build something new, then streamlined everything so it fit back into my week.
